About Catherine
Catherine (she/her) was born in central Ohio but spent the majority of her life in Kentucky prior to moving to New York City in September 2022. Catherine has been performing since a young age, beginning dance at age three. Catherine studied many dance styles in private lessons and studio classes, including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She then expanded to competing in team dance at the All-Star level in hip hop and pom. Catherine danced on the varsity dance team in high school and took part in competitions, football and basketball games, and team leadership. She then returned to her high school alma mater to judge tryouts for an upcoming team.
Catherine is a graduate from the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Modern & Classical Literature, Languages & Culture with a focus in French and Francophone Studies. While at UK, Catherine studied dance further both in class and in extracurricular activities. She was also a part of the University of Kentucky Women's Choir under the direction of Dr. Lori Hetzel. Since graduating from college, Catherine now enjoys taking any available dance classes, teaching dance, and recently choreographed her first musical. She also continues to take private voice lessons, sing in local choirs, and audition for local/regional theatre activities.
Recent Projects
Catherine most recently finished the project and task of choreographing her first show, Yes Virginia, with BG OnStage. She also participated in the A1 Conference in January 2022. As a performer on stage, she finished the run of Peter and the Starcatcher with BG OnStage in August 2021 as well as her study with Ginna Claire Mason and Mary Kate Morrissey at the beginning of August as they returned to their show companies.
Current Projects
Catherine just moved to New York City in September 2022 and is enjoying the city groove. She is taking dance classes in the city, seeing shows live, and getting settled in city life. To hear more of what Catherine is up to, follow her on social media.
